The Tea

High Mountain Oolong

Delicate fruit notes within an elegant floral fragrance. Smooth on the palate, the liquor round and full, with a sweet, lasting finish and clear layers. The leaves come from the high-mountain tea gardens of Ren’ai Township in Nantou.

The Story

Wuling

Wuling sits on Provincial Highway 14A at 3,275 metres — the highest point on any road in Taiwan. The road climbs from Puli past Qingjing and over this saddle of Hehuanshan, where the clouds of the Central Mountain Range spread out below.

Mountain cold makes the tea buds grow slowly and keeps their fragrance tight. This oolong carries the clean air of the high mountains.

The Neighbour

Wildlife around Ren’ai

Taiwan Yellow Tit
Taiwan Yellow TitMachlolophus holstiEndemic to Taiwan, with a black crest. A long-term nest-box study at Aowanda in Ren’ai Township has recorded it breeding here.

A gentle noteWatch from a distance, don’t play recorded calls to lure birds, and stay away from nest boxes.
