The Tea

Rose Scented Oolong

Rose blooms elegantly, with lychee-like fruit and fresh sweetness. The oolong base gives off a natural honey aroma, round and smooth; in the finish, flower, fruit and honey intertwine in a long, delicate aftertaste. The roses are grown the gentle way at Shan Yu’s own home and hand-selected, and real petals scent the tea naturally in small roasted batches.

The Story

Paper Dome

The Paper Dome first stood in Kobe, Japan: a temporary church built from paper tubes by architect Shigeru Ban after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. In 2005 it was taken apart and shipped across the sea, and in 2008 it was raised again in Puli’s Taomi community. Together with a community rebuilt after the 921 earthquake, it has become a symbol of recovery.

The roses in our Rose Scented Oolong also first came from Puli. Today Shan Yu grows them at home, without pesticides.

A gentle noteNever release fish or dump pet fish into streams — that is the gentlest way to protect it.
