Xianfeng Sun Moon Cave
Starting in 1969, Chen Qing-quan, a villager from Yongfu, chiselled into the rock face of Xianfengling one strike at a time. Ten full years later, in 1979, he had carved out a stone cave about 40 metres long. One side of its mouth looks like a half moon and the other like the sun, so people call it the Sun Moon Cave.
Good things take time. Longan blossoms picked before the Qingming Festival are layered into Jin Xuan, and we wait for their fragrance to settle into the leaves.
