The Tea

Wild Ginger Lily Scented Oolong

First comes the fresh, gentle fragrance of wild ginger lily. The oolong base carries ripe-fruit notes and a mellow warmth; the floral scent lingers in the throat, leaving you calm and soothed. The ginger lilies grow on our own friendly farmland, hand-picked in season; the tea is naturally scented with fresh flowers and roasted in small batches.

The Story

Jiji Station

Jiji Station opened with the Jiji Line in 1922. Today’s cypress station building dates from 1933 and is the line’s most iconic Japanese-era station. Badly damaged in the 921 earthquake of 1999, it was restored to its original form and became the starting point of the town’s recovery.

The Jiji Line starts at Ershui in Changhua. In Nantou it passes Zhuoshui, Jiji and Shuili before ending at Checheng, linking Nantou’s tea and water along the way.

The Neighbour

Taiwan Barbet
Taiwan BarbetPsilopogon nuchalisJiji’s leisure farming area features the Taiwan barbet in its nature guides. If you hear a “tok, tok, tok” like a wooden temple block, that’s the barbet.

A gentle noteWhen you hear “tok, tok, tok”, look up. Don’t chase it — binoculars are enough.
